EvidenceTrail / Pack verification

Verify a pack fingerprint

Every evidence pack generated by EvidenceTrail carries a SHA-256 fingerprint in its Pack Integrity section. If you have been given a pack — as a board member, reviewer, caseworker, or adviser — you can confirm here that its fingerprint matches a recorded pack generation, without an account and without revealing any case contents.

Phase 2 update

Phase 2 announced for Oct 2026: see what changes.

How this works

When an evidence pack is exported, the service records an audit entry with the pack's fingerprint, template, and generation time. This page checks a fingerprint against those generation records. If a pack you hold has been altered since export, its recomputed fingerprint will no longer match a recorded generation.

A match confirms only that this fingerprint corresponds to a pack generation recorded by this service. It does not verify who holds the pack, the accuracy of its contents, or any legal, regulatory, or compliance outcome.
